The heroes start the episode on the Wicks market where they decide to go to sleep to prepare for the next day’s trip to the cursed island. They go to the only inn in town which is at the brothel. There, Brand gets a free room thanks to his rustic background while the rest of the party (actually Nemo) has to pay for the second room.

Ike then spends 60min in one of the rooms with a brothel worker, Margarita, a 25yo, where Ike’s “hard wood” nature comes in very handy for his first sexy time with humans. Then he spends a bit of time cuddling with Sofia, a 43yo BDSM lover that carves “Sofia ❤️ Ike” under Ike’s hula skirt, on the butt cheek that didn’t have the Severance Protocol’s mark.

After this, Ike joins the rest of the party who was already (trying to) rest despite a brothel’s natural sounds. During the night Lyra and Ike both notice three powerful deep rumblings, like earthquakes, shaking the ground. Lyra also notices strange movements in the room near their backpacks.

Several hours later, close to dawn, Soto hears footsteps on the hallway. He peeks and notices a group of five pirates and the merchant they pissed off at the brawl and at Ike’s wedding, in front of Ike’s room fiddling with the lock. Soto sounds the alarm (Ein Verletzter! Alarm! Alarm!) and combat ensues. The pirates want revenge because now they look like fools to the rest of the pirate town.

After a few rounds of rapid combat, the heroes knock unconscious half of the pirates with a mix of thunderwave, a sacred flame imbued warhammer and Soto’s barrage of punches and kicks. When the pirates try to escape, Lyra intimidates the two laggards and forces them to leave through the window. The first one trips during the fall and breaks his neck and the second one begs and pees his pants before jumping off the window but luckily survives. Iris, the brothel owner is very pissed off and confronts Lyra who blames her for the low security. While this is going on, Nemo and Soto loot the unconscious and dead bodies while Ike brings the merchant’s body to his room, follows the demonic voice in his head and essentially prepares a bood foot bath for himself in his room. Besides ending up with Bordeaux-colored feet, nothing appears to happen to him, other hearing the demonic voice say “Gooooood, Can you feel the power?” and Ike smiling at his evolution.

A couple of hours later, the party leaves the brothel and a still pissed off brothel owner who is happy to see them off.

At the docks, they meet Paco, Paquito, and Pietro, the crew of the multi-purpose light ship that is going to bring them to the island and depart towards the island.

During the sailing, Brand and Klik and klak are sea sick and soon are at the back of the ship throwing up. Soto goes to meditate to the wooden beam sprouting off the front of the ship while Ike climbs the mast. Paquito reveals to Lyra that he wants to be a cartographer and would love to join them exploring the island. Lyra also notices Augury, Pietro’s one-eyed cat suddenly hissing at the air for a few seconds, but can’t find its cause.

A few hours later, only a hundred meters away from the island, and in the middle of a storm and very rough sea, something very large and black falls from the clouds, through the boat’s deck and into the water. The ship starts sinking, Soto falls into the water but soon gets back aboard. Whatever hit the ship disappears into the water.

The party then goes into action and through the combined efforts of everyone, they manage to patch and steer the ship to the beach and prevent it from sinking.

The ship crew stays with the ship to start repairing it once the storm subsides, while the party ventures into the island. The party has two days to get back to the shore before the ship heads back to the Wicks.

Ike leads the party through the beach until they find a stream and then enter the island. Thanks to this smart move, they soon reach a clearing with 8 statues of praying monks and an altar with a big stone symbol of Pelor and an amulet hanging from it. The statues are very detailed but have been eroded by years of salt and rain. Otherwise the area looks like no one has been there for a long time. Soto clears the moss from the inscription beneath the altar revealing this message:

Here rests Brother Aldric, the Hunchback of Tallinn, Abbot of this sanctuary and faithful servant of the Bearer of Light. When darkness came from the heart of the island, he stood in its way. The shadow claimed his body, but it could not touch his faith. May the Eternal Sun illuminate what the night consumed.

Immediately, a group of 6 vine blights sprouts out of the forest and attack the party. After a few rounds Klik and Klak fall unconscious, and Lyra and Brand fall to 1 and 3 points of life, but the party ends up defeating the vines that were just defending the sacred grounds, steal the amulet and take a short rest.

After the short rest, the party continues following the river and an hour later, they arrive to the abbey which is surrounded by a lake. A bridge connects the trail to the abbey, but a large angry minotaur stays in the way.
